Couple
John and Melanie met online through a dating website. They went out on 3 dates, but Melanie states John was so shy. They stayed friends for many years. Fate was in their favor after a major life change for both of them, they starting messaging. Messaging progressed to phone calls, and finally a date. When John proposed, he took Melanie to Ocean City for their anniversary weekend. Even though it was raining, he still persuaded her to walk the boardwalk. This is where he got down on one knee and asked Melanie to be his wife! The rain caught Melanie off guard and she wasn’t expecting him to pop the question!
Wedding
The wedding had several dates. The first date was in March, then May and finally September 19th (due to COVID). Melanie said that this was the final date! Whether it be with one or many of their friends, they were getting married! Everything happens for a reason. On the first two dates, the weather was terrible. When they finally had their wedding day, the weather was perfect. It was cooler, low humidity and sunshine! Melanie surprised John by sewing his late mother’s uniform (something blue) into her dress. They also honored her with a rose on a chair at both the wedding and reception. Melanie and John wore unconventional shoes and got married in the boat house. Picture.Perfect.
Their honeymoon is in Punta Cana where they can social distance and soak up some sun!
Congrats Mrs. and Mr. Brown! Here’s to many years of love and happiness!
