The Couple
Joe & Jess began dating in August 2014. She was fresh out of a divorce and wasn’t looking for anything serious. especially now that she was a single mom to 3 children. While knowing she couldn’t give too much of herself, she truly enjoyed Joe’s company and how easy things were between them. It wasn’t long before she was head over heels. However, Joe has no children, never been married, and may have been more skeptical of a “relationship†than she was. Fast forward a year later and he finally said “I love you†just before he headed off to a weekend fishing trip with the guys. She recalls feeling as though her heart was so full because even though she knew how he felt…actually hearing it was just amazing. Fast forward almost 4 years, they bought property, built a house and then 3 more years he popped the question. He is an amazing dad and treats all of them so well!
The Wedding
The forecast called for 100% rain and it sure did rain all day. Jessica and Joe never mentioned the rain. They were completely wrapped up in the day. Jessica got ready with her girl’s while Joe and his groomsmen were trying to figure out how to fish out of the pond. Jessica wasn’t kidding when she said her guy LOVES fishing! When they had their first look, Joe just took a breath in when he turned around and said “wow! you look beautiful”. Such a sweet moment. We as photographers did everything we could to keep the barn cat out of the images because it was so sweet and wanted to also be a part of the day! The rain slowed to a drizzle long enough for us to get some bride and groom portraits, but started down pouring just prior to the ceremony. Once they tied the knot, it was time to party! After a while in the reception, they coaxed Jessica into getting in a boat with Joe and going out on the pond. Just before, Joe dropped trousers to show his very entertaining boxing shorts. We got a front row seat to Joe making Jessica laughing. He does it often and it is amazing to watch. Joe even “fished” out the garter and came up with a hook in his mouth! It was hysterical. We believe their marriage is going to be filled with so much laughter and love!
Congrats Jessica & Joe!
