The Couple

Courtney and Mike met similar to most of our couples who are established and have big careers…through a dating app!  I can attest that these apps work!  So many of our best and happiest couples have met the modern way! We were luck to be able to be present for this proposal!  Susan snuck around a golf course and captured the moments as they unfolded. He has 3 golf balls lined. The first one had the restaurant where they had their first date, the second had the event where he asked her to be his girlfriend, and the third said “today”.

The Session

We give engagement sessions complementary so we get to know the bride and groom before their big day!  This helps us to really get to know them, for them to get to know us, and for everyone to get comfortable.  We met at Downs Park, but on a day right before Tropical Storm Ophelia made landfall up the coast.  To say it was windy and overcast is an understatement. About half way through, I gave them the option to either stop and get credits for prints or keep going. Courtney, a girl after my own heart, wanted to keep going!! This told me a lot about how their wedding day will go!  She is ready to roll with whatever is dealt her way and we are so excited to capture it!
