The Couple
Doug and Crissy both… swiped right! It was the right choice as they are both perfect for each other! After being together for 5 years, Doug proposed in Punta Cana. They were there for their friend’s wedding. The day after, the newly married couple asked them to join them for dinner. They picked them up and took them to the beach where they walked to a secluded table. The seating was just for 2! They had a great dinner, but Doug was so nervous he couldn’t wait for dessert! He proposed and the waiter popped champagne. After, they dance. Crissy says it was very romantic and special (great job Doug!). They own a home together now and have a dog named Buster!
The Wedding
It seems often my couple’s find us, and then we realize that we know each other in some way. This is no different. Crissy posted in our community facebook page that she was looking for an engagement photographer. I was referred and she messaged me. I knew exactly who she was, and was shocked that we not only lived in the same community, but on the same street! We had known each other for years! So we shot their engagement and Crissy asked us to be their wedding photographer. I was so honored.
They got married at a country club resort called Kings Creek in Delaware. The day was PERFECT. The temperature was amazing and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky! Crissy’s bridesmaids were the sweetest! You can tell by how they looked at Crissy that they were the truest, supportive friends. They were so helpful through the day and did absolutely everything they could to ensure the day ran smoothly. Crissy wore a gorgeous lace dress (with a heart sewn inside that was from her mom’s dress) and a veil to surprise Doug. They hired Steve Moody as the DJ (our favorite!) so I knew they reception was going to be amazing! He get’s everyone on the dance floor every time! They ended the night with a glow stick exit.
Congrats Crissy and Doug! We are thrilled we could capture these moments for you- not only as your neighbors, but as your friends.
