Sam + Tyler

Engagement

April 12, 2019

I met Tyler’s mom before I met Sam or Tyler (our bride and groom to be)! You see, Tyler’s mom was helping the couple search for a photographer for their wedding this October. The reason that Sam couldn’t search herself? Well, she was in one of the hardest police academies in our state! (Girl Power!!)…. and Tyler, well he is also in law enforcement and quite busy too!.  I knew just chatting with Lauri that Bob and I would have a lot in common with Sam and Tyler. After I heard the news that Sam graduated the academy, I reached out to schedule their engagement session. Tyler replied back that they could do in the morning, but not the evenings due to their work schedule. So, sunrise it was and this would be the first time I had the opportunity to shoot at Jerusalem Mill.  When I arrived it was still dark. As the light started to peek through the trees my mind starting racing of so many places to capture on this gorgeous property!

We are dog people! We are excited when our clients bring their furbabies to the sessions! It’s interesting because we have a jack russell/beagle mix named Clover and Tyler’s cousin has Clover’s brother, Bodie! Such a small world! As you will see, Sam and Tyler’s dog, Boone was excited for the shoot! He will work for treats!

I asked Tyler about the ring and he said he got a Sapphire put into the design of the ring under the diamond because he is a LEO (law enforcement officer). Ironically, it works out even better because now, Sam is one too!

You will see from the images that these two light each other up! They are constantly laughing, smiling and joking with each other. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in October!
