The Couple
Devon and Ihab both went to Salisbury State. She teaches 5th grade (after this pandemic experience, bless her heart!) and Ihab works for the EPA. Devon says the don’t typically celebrate Valentine’s Day, so they postponed the celebration to the following weekend. Ihab planned a nice dinner for them at Fogo De Chao in Washington, DC. When they walked in front of the reflection pool in DC, they were chatting away. She says before she knew it, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him! He even made sure someone was photographing it!! (bonus points in my book for Ihab!). He then surprised her with all of their friends and family at the restaurant for the celebration.
The Session
We are getting close to Devon and Ihab’s wedding! We have been chatting back and forth with details and fingers crossed that it will go off without a hitch this August. We postponed the first engagement session because of COVID. It started pouring down rain yesterday and the weather said it would be thunder storms on and off (at one point I sent a video to Devon with the rain, lol!). Finally, she said “let’s just go for it!”. That is the moment I knew that she and I were going to get along really well. We went for it and it was PERFECT! Intermittent clouds, a nice sunset and their son Lucas was the happiest, easy going baby! He is 9 months old and WALKING!! I am so excited to capture this trio on their wedding day!
