The Couple

Alyssa and Zach sparked a relationship when they slid into DM’s over 4 years ago. They are both into the gym and met at Chiseled Life. They both said they weren’t looking for anything at the time!  Zach is in IT and Alyssa is a Medical Assistant. They got engaged in Hawaii where Zach’s family is from!

The Wedding

They chose the Beach Club for their wedding because of the water feel! They incorporated both Vietnamese and Hawaiian elements into their wedding day. Alyssa chose to wear a traditional Vietnamese gown for a majority of the reception. They also had authentic Hawaiian drinks, chips, and snacks for their party favors which was really tasty! The day started with Alyssa’s mother and grandmother getting her into her dress and putting her veil on. They watched over her as she put her earrings and finishing touches on. Zach took a shot with his groomsmen before meeting Alyssa downstairs for their first look. They also chose to exchange private vows to each other during this time. When Zach walked down the aisle, the entire crowd cheered for him. This was when we realized how rowdy this bunch was going to be! They were very into the wedding ceremony and cheered for specific parts. Once the ceremony was over, Alyssa and Zach were introduced into their reception with the biggest cheers we have heard! Alyssa changed into her Vietnamese attire to cut the cake and greet their guests at their table. It is Vietnamese tradition to hand cards and gifts directly to the bride and groom. After the cake was cut, the dance floor emptied and the guests all devoured the cake and cupcakes!  Steve Moody (the DJ) kept the dance floor busy for the remainder of the reception. It was such an honor to capture this wedding day and these two families joining!
