Lexie + Russ

Wedding

July 15, 2019

The Couple:

Lexie and Russ met the same way a lot of the couples did at their wedding… at a bar :)  Well, not just any bar, the DON’T KNOW TAVERN.  Russ left Lexie his number on the bar receipt (she worked there). The rest is history.

They are classy, caring and completely head over heals with each other. I really enjoyed watching them interact and be so REAL with each other. They also know how to be laid back, have fun and laugh. These traits (as any married person knows) are the ones that will get you through any tough times.  Russ proposed in a cozy, intimate way with an ornament for their Christmas Tree (you can read more about it with their engagement session HERE .)

On the day of their wedding, Bob and I arrived a little early to get to know the farm (this was our first time shooting here). We met the owners, the dog and all of the vendors who were so excited to help and be a part of Lexie and Russ’ day. It was a warm July day, but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and a light breeze.

Lexie wore a gorgeous, white A-line dress with flower details and a champagne under skirt. Her veil was longer than her dress. When she told me this I was so excited! I love veil shots! Her bridesmaids each wore their own version of a light sage dress and the men wore gray suits. Most of the time they all went barefoot which is perfect for this setting. Lexie and Russ opted for a first look so they could spend some time together alone prior to committing to life long promises in front of their closest friends and family.  They exchanged classic yellow gold rings from Blue Nile (this is where my engagement ring came from… they are amazing!).

After the wedding, the party began right away. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, the outdoors, and great company.  While I was capturing pictures of the girls barefoot in the grass, Bob and the guys had other plans (you will have to just look through the pics to see lol!).

We then took the golf carts up the hill to catch the sunset and a few more pics with the newlyweds (and her sister who helped us so much with veil shots!)

The night was going to end with a bubble send off, but they were having so much fun dancing the night away, they opted against it. (which made their day exactly how they wanted it and I love that!).

They are now off to St. Augustine for their honeymoon
