Baby James was much anticipated from the Wilson family. When I first met Cherie and Joe, I was capturing their maternity pictures for Ella! I was one of the lucky ones that got to know her name before anyone else (but I can keep a secret ;).
When Cherie announced that she was pregnant with the final addition to their family I was literally jumping up and down! I mean, seriously… they created Ella. You will see from these pics that a second edition was definitely warranted! I messaged Cherie (im)patiently waiting for baby news and then it finally happened! Born February 6th at 2:27 AM. 8 lbs 12 oz, 19.29 inches…A baby BOY was here! Ella was so excited to meet her brother and take on her new role as a big sister! I love that I got to capture another little squishy, Wilson baby. He looks like Joe and their family is complete!
The Session
This was my second time taking pictures on the second floor of the Wilson home. The first time, I was new to newborn photography and Cherie was a new mom. We all made it through lol! This time, there was a little girl wandering around in a pretty blue dress speaking so well! When I went upstairs she gave me a BIG hug! I love that she knows me and is comfortable with me taking her pictures. I have, after all, been capturing her since before she was born. This time, we set up in James’ room. Cherie brought him in with his adorable light blue outfit on and with new baby smell (the best smell ever!). Ella helped me take pictures of him and he was soooo content. When she sat on the chair to hold baby James, mom and dad gathered around. Then in the sweetest little voice, Ella said “we are family”. I just melted right there. After a while, Ella did have enough. Luckily we were able to convince her to get a couple more by offering her not one, but two popsicles. She is a great negotiator!
