Liz & Mark Married!

Wedding

September 10, 2022

The Couple

Liz and Mark met at a work function. Several years went by before their paths crossed again. This time they became very good friends. After a few more years of being friends, they started dating in 2018. They describe it as instant chemistry and knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. When they were on vacation in Silver Lake, MI, Mark took Liz and her family to the top of Little Sable Lighthouse on a gorgeous day. Mark got down on one knee and asked Liz to marry him while overlooking a fantastic view of Lake Michigan. The diamond in the ring was Liz’s grandmother’s, then her mother’s, and now hers. The setting was designed around that diamond.

The Wedding

Just as their engagement day was gorgeous, so was their wedding day! Low humidity, great temperature and VERY relaxed couple! Susan and I began the detail shots of their jewelry, dress, shoes etc. We really liked that we had the ability to be a little creative with the wine barrel and various items from around the venue!  Liz was around the winery buttoning up some final details and Mark was waiting to get dressed so he could have a first look with Liz. Their first look was so sweet!  I love this moment for our couples because I can physically see all of the nerves and stress just wash away and they really begin to enjoy their day together! Liz had a minor malfunction with her belt for her dress. While it wasn’t noticeable to a lot of people, it was noticeable to us so Susan sewed it.  She now has a hasghtag on IG and FB #SusanSews because it has come in handy for several weddings :)   They had their ceremony as the sun began to go down exchanging vows with those closest to them.  The reception was low key, but fun with a little cake smash by Mark. They were so thrilled with how the day unfolded. They decided on Sedona, Arizona for their honeymoon.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your day!

xoxo,

Jamie, Bob, and Susan
