Brittany and Mike met right after graduating high school through mutual friends in Ocean City, MD. They starting dating soon after. They then each went away to different colleges but both of ended up transferring to Salisbury University at the same time, and graduated from Salisbury together in December of 2019. After 7 years, Mike proposed on the beautiful beaches of Destin, FL while on a family vacation.
It rained. A lot. Despite this, the spirits of Mike and Brittany were so positive and joyful. They really just were happy to be getting married and the rain was just a part of their day! They had shades of dusty and navy blue with gold accents. Laura, Brittany’s mom owns Forged Timbers Design and did an incredible job of making all of the details. The bride and groom gifted the entire wedding party “HeyDude” shoes! The bride wore them all day and they paired perfectly with her dress!
There was no shortage of sweet treats for humans and pups. Brittany and Mike have German Wire-haired Pointers. Even though they were not at the wedding, they were in the details of the cake and they even had “doggy bags” for guests to take home to their dogs too (my German Shorthaired Pointers loved the treats when we got home!). Another sweet surprise was from Brittany’s aunt and uncle, Kelly, Kevin, and Brittany’s cousin Tanna. They reserved Vanderwende Farm Fresh Ice Cream Truck. This is the first time at a wedding reception we have seen no line at the bar and everyone putting down drinks for ice cream! You couldn’t pass up the amazing flavors on a rainy spring day! We did do a same-day slide show for the bride and groom (and their guests) to see some of their wedding day unfold. We always love showing them the magic of the day as they sit for dinner gearing up to enjoy the remainder of their wedding day. The evening ended with a light-stick exit. Overall, I don’t think they would change a thing. The day was absolutely perfect!
